Permanent Makeup Techniques
It can feel daunting when you're thinking about getting semi permanent make up.
You've heard of microblading, ombre and powder brow but what exactly is the difference and which one is right for me? I can help! Read my guide below on the 5 main techniques of semi permanent eyebrow makeup,
Microblading
Microblading is a brow treatment that uses a handheld tool with ultra fine pins to create a channel in the upper dermis of the skin, in which pigment is implanted. The lines are extremely fine, that resemble natural looking hair strokes.
Microshading / Combination
The brows are microbladed as above and then the shading element is added using a similar manual handheld tool. The brows appear fuller.
Eyebrow Feathering
The same exact technique as microblading but the hairs are thicker. This technique is perfect for clients who want fluffy brows.
Nanoblading
A variation of microblading that uses a machine to embed the pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.
Ombre / Powder brow
A machine is used to insert the pigment into the dermal layer of skin with a dotting technique. A more powdery / misty effect is achieved. This technique is perfect for clients with oily skin.
